ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Information Science & Engineering department was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students for Under Graduate programme. The department is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi to meet the demands of IT Engineers.

The objective of the department is to create competent software professionals capable of working with emerging technologies to meet the societal needs by imparting excellent teaching-learning experience through value-based education.

The Department has a best infrastructure with a supportive platforms to prepare the students to satisfy the demands of the corporate world. It has got six laboratories with state of art facilities. Over the years, department has made its mark by achieving good placements and brought laurels in sports and co-curricular activities.

The Department has dedicated, well experienced and research oriented faculties to impart quality education to the students. The Department has signed MoUs with IT Industries like VSG Software Solution, Tequed Labs, Nexus Edutech, UNILOG Content Solutions, CloudE and IQuest etc…

The student Association “INSPIRE” (Information Science Progress towards Innovation Research & Excellence) was started in the year 2010, which provides a strong platform to exhibit their technical skills. Our proud alumnus are currently working in dream companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, E&Y, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Robert Bosch, TCS, etc.. and few are pursuing their higher education in reputed universities.
