Main aim of Eco-club (Green club) is to conserve the natural resources in the environment to create eco friendly campus. It is a platform in which knowledge of bio diversity conservation is disseminated. With this preamble eco club was constituted at NIEIT named as NIEIT Green Club in the year 2019, to bring awareness and conscious among students and staff through various green initiatives. Main aim of NIEIT Green club is to nurture and teach the importance of environment to present and future generation. Also to wisely use the engineering and technology to protect and not to harm the environment. It enables the students and staff to be sensitive towards environmental changes and to address environmental issues.
NIEIT green club is a class of likeminded highly motivated volunteers passionately working to comprehend a green, clean, eco-friendly environment.
Green clubs in colleges will empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behaviour. It will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum. It is not just an extracurricular activity but will be made a priority in activity-based points in academics.
