ABOUT INNOVATION CELL

At NIEIT, Research and Innovation activities in the college are well organized by Establishing the Project and Innovation laboratories in each department.

Encouraging students and faculty members to undertake projects in multidisciplinary fields in collaboration with Industry or in association with other organizations or funding agencies.

Encouraging students and faculty members to undertake innovative research-based/ product development/ Need-based projects by providing in house funding.

Objectives

To conduct activities under Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) as per guidelines of Innovation Cell (MHRD, Govt. Of India).To encourage and facilitate students and faculty members to apply for Intellectual Property Rights in collaboration with IPR Cell.

Major Focus of IIC

To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem
To Start entrepreneurship supporting Mechanism in HEIS
To Establish a Functional Ecosystem for Scouting Ideas and Pre-incubation of Ideas
To Develop a better Cognitive Ability amongst Technical Students To Prepare institute for ATAL Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework (ARIIA)

Functions of Institution's Innovation Council

To Promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campus
To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities at the institute level in time bounded fashion.
To Identify, reward innovations and share the success stories.
To Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovations.
To collaborate with peers for the development of organizations.
To create an environment for the development of innovative projects carried out by the institution’s faculty and students.
To Organize Hackathons, idea competitions, mini-challenges etc with the involvement of industries.
