CAMPUS STORIES

EXCELLENCE IN CAREER

Hello all, I am Mr. Swaroop K, an alumni of NIE institute of technology, 2019 passed out. I am very privileged to share a few words about our college. The subjects taught us not only from the academic viewpoints ,but also about its relevance & applicability in real life which made us more practical in understanding the concepts and thinking one step ahead in developing new concepts which also got patented. I thank each and every teaching faculty of the Electrical & Electronics department for imparting the best education and the skills which I was able to learn and convert them into national awards in technical competitions.

NIEIT boosted the entrepreneurial skills in us and because of which I and few more alumnus of NIEIT were able to start our own company, of course under the guidance of our professor Dr. BS Sreekanthan ,in the field of works related to renewable energy and power systems . I thank the institution for moulding me to become a better person in contributing to the progress of the society.

JOURNEY TO SELF ACTUALIZATION

“The finest steel always passes through the hottest fire.”

The journey of my graduation at NIE Institute of Technology led me through a path of many amazing experiences. Having been under a great team of faculties who were always there to guide their students not only through academics but many other challenges was always inspiring.
I have had the opportunity to learn from my friends who are some of the most amazing people I have met. Their ever-cheerful nature even during tough times and the resolve to fight for their dreams come what may helped me to grow as a better person.
It is from my honoured professors and friends that I learnt to chase my dreams of starting a business firm and give in my best to make it a corporate giant. 2 years since its inception, Global Earthmovers & Machineries has managed to rake in more than 1Cr. in business turnover and revenues. We have successfully placed ourselves as suppliers of machinery equipment and parts providing support to many small business firms and construction firms engaged in such activities

Being a business owner has taught me the importance of credit flow, cash management, man power management, handling fixed and variable expenses so as to reduce cost. Having our vendors not only in India but also countries like china, South Korea etc. has provided us access to international market thus providing insights into their method of functioning and level of competitiveness. I now am able to realize that complete utilization of my potential would lead me to great heights in coming future while maintain my roots firmly on the ground.
In coming years, we intend to cover maximum ground and also finding means and ways to make my dreams come true.

Until then, the journey continues…

Raunak Modi, Proprietor, Global Earthmovers & Machineries.

UNITED WE STAND

The Pulwama attack that shocked the nation on 14th February 2019 galvanised the citizens of India to come together and show support to the families of the soldiers who were martyred. Among the CRPF jawans who lost their lives in the blast, one was Guru H from the Mandya district of Karnataka.
As a mark of our gratitude to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack, NIE IT organised a fund-raiser. A marathon with the theme “Run for Jawans”, which was also part of the intercollegiate cultural fest (Ignite – 2K19) was organised on 17th March 2019 from Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple and up to a stretch of 6 km for men and 4 km for women.

600 people participated of which 300 were students of NIE IT while the rest included members of the general public and various athletic clubs from Mysore and Mandya, and a few professional participants from Mangalore.
The marathon was a success with a total of INR 80,100 raised through registrations, and sponsorships by the Principal and staff and other donors such as Aasare Foundation, Dhruva Technologies and Mr. Ashokananda, Chairman of Alumni Association.
