The NIE Institute of Technology, Mysuru celebrated Graduation day for 2017-21 batch students on Saturday, the 28th May 2022 in its campus. The celebrations started with the academic procession in which the dignitaries viz., Dr. K. Thippeswamy, Director, VTU Regional Office, Mysuru, Sri. Eswararao Vuppu, Vice President(works), JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., Mysuru , Dr. Datta Kumar R, Hon. Treasurer, NIEIT MC, Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, The Principal of the College, and The Heads of various departments were ushered to the accompaniment of the college band into the venue of the function. The dignitaries adorned the dais and after the customary invocation song and lighting the lamp, the Principal welcomed all the dignitaries, Special Invitees, Parents, faculty and graduands. The Convener, Dr. Archana N.V, Professor & Head , Dept. of EEE introduced the guests to the gathering.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Eswararao Vuppu in his address he pointed out that Learning is a Continuous Process and the Hard work and Dedication of teachers are responsible in shaping the graduates as responsible citizens of the country. He expounded on the need of a clear vision and leadership qualities for a successful career. He called upon the graduate community to set the hierarchy of individual identities as Indian, Kannadiga, Mysuriga and NIEITian..
Dr. K. Thippeswamy, Guest of Honour, congratulated the graduates. He explained the Logo of VTU, which said “ ಮೊದಲು ಮಾನವನಾಗು”,emphasised the need to grow as a human being, developing humanitarian traits. He also called for developing oneself as a proud child to parents.
Dr. Dattakumar R, in his presidential remarks, congratulated the outgoing batch on their graduation. He emphasised the significance of service along with career. Listing a number of traits required for success, he also explained the importance of developing a person along with acquiring a significant position in career.
Mr. Vedamohan, M, Asst. Professor, Dept. of M.E and Ms. Divya S, Asst. Professor, Dept. of EEE compered the event.
In this ceremony, 180 students from various branches like Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Information Science & Engineering received their degrees. More than 80% of the eligible graduates are placed in reputed companies through College Placement Cell. Degrees will be conferred from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Parents expressed joyful gratitude to the faculty and the management in molding their wards as professionals in the course of study in our Institution.
